Y’know, it just occurred to me that if I died this week, there’s nothing, literally nothing, anyone could say I achieved.

How depressing is that for a 29year old?

Fuck “achievements”.

Who the hell cares about this shit anymore anyway? The economy is down the toilet, everyone I know who isn’t living off an inheritance is just barely scraping by and not talking about it. People with fucking MBA’s can’t find jobs and people with Doctorate degrees are jobbing at Starbucks. The only achievement I’m really proud of, is that I spent one of my lunch breaks freezing in the cold, trying to comfort a lost little puppy that was shaking and crying, tethered outside the bookstore by some prick who doesn’t know anything about dogs. 

What I’m trying to say is: you’re a good person, and that’s worth more in my eyes than this abstract social construct of “achievements”, yeah? I think we need to do away with those, because in this world, just getting up every morning and making yourself join in the daily grind of just breathing is hard enough as it is. 

And yet despite all this, you’re kind, and you care. Not that many people can say this much of themselves. You’re not worthless. Fuck EVERYTHING that your brain is telling you. You’re bloody brilliant.
